They are concerned about the pollution from the coal into the lake once the dam is finished, so they are working round the clock to empty out as much of it as they can from the mines in the next few years. Right above the barge you can see the two water level marks, first is the 156 one, where the water will be in two years, the one above that (where the red line was added) is where it will be in 2009, everything below that red line will be underwater. The road above the line, and the bridge, are both new. |
