Sunday Evening
Evening is a weird term when it's always light out. The sun sets something like 11:30 or so at night, but it just doesn't get dark. These three pictures were taken after sunset. There was a bit of a cloud cover towards the sunset, so they didn't come out as good as I would have liked, but it was still wonderful.
We were sitting around the hotel, and I googled "Best Place to See Sunset Anchorage" and it suggested several parks by the airport overlooking the water. We headed off to see, and on the way there were cars parked on both sides of the road at Airport park.

Crossing the road, a Huge Moose and two young ones. Again, remember this picture was taken without any flash after 11:30 at night
From Airport Park, looking out back at Anchorage

With the red glow of the sunset just starting to hit the city.
How clear was it? Mt McKinley is about 140 miles (as the crow flies) from Anchorage.
While the picture is grainy, through the clouds you can easily make out the mountain, even though it's just about midnight. It was totally incredible
